HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Fifth Annual Kauai Poke Fest raised over $20,000 for local nonprofit organizations partnered with the Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Charity Walk.
This year’s event was the largest to date. With more than 800 attendees and over 1,000 pounds of locally sourced ahi, everyone left with full hearts and stomachs.
“The Koloa Landing Resort has been one of our best community leaders, and we are especially grateful for the generous donation from their signature event, the Kauai Poke Fest, which helped provide crucial financial support to 60 nonprofit organizations on our island,” said Jim Braman, HLTA Kauai Chapter Board President.
The weekend featured a live poke competition, an exclusive five-course dinner, entertainment, and a poke-making demo.
“This year’s festival reflected the true spirit of Kaua‘i with passionate chefs, an enthusiastic community, and incredible generosity,” said Aaron Bambling, general manager of Koloa Landing Resort. “We’re proud to contribute to the HLTA’s Charity Walk and thankful for everyone who helped bring this weekend to life.”
Officials said Mayor Derek Kawakami and Mayor Richard Bissen gave high remarks at the festival, highlighting the growing cultural and charitable significance the event offers.
The Sixth Annual Kaua’i Poke Fest will be held in June 2026.
