Beginning Wednesday, both ranges will be open for public use from Noon to 4 p.m. every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Weekend hours remain 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Reservations are not needed for weekday use and the public can use the ranges on a first-come-first served basis.

“The Koko Head Shooting Complex was initially closed in September 2022, and began reopening for public use in March & April 2024. During the closure, the City hired a national outdoor shooting range expert to refresh the operations of the range, train employees in best practices for lead awareness to protect their health, and completed a variety of range improvements,” DPR said in a news release.

The silhouette range remains closed.
