HONOLULU (KHON2) — Legendary local entertainer Albert “Al” Waterson passed away on Sunday.
Waterson died of cancer at the age of 77.
He was born in Honolulu and began his entertaining career in his 20s and performed nationally, internationally and throughout Hawaii.
Waterson sang, acted in Hollywood films and helped with numerous non-profit organizations.
He was known as the best emcee in town.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Bernal, who was by his side when he died.
