HONOLULU (KHON2) — Police records show a 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder Friday night.
According to HPD, the 41-year-old victim was lying in his tent when the suspect approached and shot him multiple times just before 2 a.m.
The victim was able to walk to a bus stop and EMS was called while the suspect left the area in a truck.
Paramedics took the victim to a hospital in critical condition.
Police records show that the suspect and victim know each other.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and firearms charges in Waianae at 7:30 p.m.
