HONOLULU (KHON2) — The 27-year-old accused of murdering Melissa Jubane just days after her wedding is expected in an Oregon court Monday.
Twenty-seven-year-old Bryce Johnathan Schubert was arrested on Friday and was charged with Jubaneʻs murder.
Concern about Jubaneʻs whereabouts were raised when she didnʻt make it to work on Sept. 4 and her familyʻs efforts to contact her went unanswered.
In addition to police searches of her home and the surrounding property, the community conducted morning and evening searches near her apartment complex on Friday.
Beaverton police did not release further details “to preserve the integrity of the investigation.”
