Man indicted for Halawa murder

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Frank Bright, 38, has been indicted for the death of his wife, Aimee Takaki.

Police reports said Bright’s wife was found dead last Thursday, Sept. 4, in her home in Halawa.

Authorities said they found the woman after her landlord had called in a wellness check due to the front door having been left open.

On Saturday, Sept. 6, Bright was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder.

Officials report that Bright allegedly used a tomahawk blade, which left multiple chop wounds to her head and neck.

Bright could be sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole for Murder in the Second Degree.

Currently, Bright is being held without bail and is considered innocent until proven guilty.
