HONOLULU (KHON2) — Honolulu police are searching for a suspect after a dog was shot in Sewers Beach.
According to HPD, on July 18 around 10:30 p.m., a 49-year-old male got into an argument with an unknown male suspect regarding the 49-year-old’s 10-year-old pit bull.
HPD said that during the argument, the suspect got a rifle and shot the dog, and he later fled the scene in a van.
Officers notified the Hawaiian Humane Society and transported the dog to a nearby veterinarian, where it died from its injuries.
Police describe the suspect as a male in his 20s, approximately 5’6″ tall, weighing about 200 pounds.
