University of Hawaii quarterback Micah Alejado was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week after his superb performance against New Mexico in Saturday’s season finale.
In a 38-30 win over the Lobos, Alejado completed 37 of his 57 passes for 469 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions.

He had the most yards by a freshman in a starting debut, most completions and touchdowns by any Hawaii quarterback in a starting debut, most yards by a freshman quarterback and most passing yards in any UH debut.
Alejado also led the country in passing in Week 14. He also threw for the most passing yards by an FBS freshman quarterback in 2024 and also tied the mark for most passing touchdowns by an FBS quarterback in a game in 2024.
