Miracle: The pup who defied all odds

HONOLULU (KHON2) — For Wags ‘n Whiskers Wednesday, KHON2 features Miracle, a pup patiently waiting for a permanent, loving home.

Five-year-old Hound mix, Miracle, has been in and out of the Hawaiian Humane Society since November 2024.

According to the HHS, she arrived emaciated and in rough shape, but with lots of love and care, Miracle was able to defy all odds and came back stronger than ever.

Officials said those who meet her would have no idea of the hardships she’s overcome because of her sweet and affectionate personality.

“Her happy taps and rapid tail wags are sure to brighten your day. This special girl is the true embodiment of resilience,” HHS said.

The lucky ʻohana who brings Miracle home will not only see her gentle demeanor and curious spirit, but experience warmth, joy and unconditional love.

She is a recipient of the shelter’s Reid Krucky Memorial Fund, which means her adoption fee is waived and she will go home with special goodies to help settle in.

Anyone interested in adopting Miracle can visit her at the Hawaiian Humane Society’s Kosasa Family Campus at Hoʻopili daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
