KHON2.com went through the popular employment site, Indeed, to find out what jobs are being offered to our ʻōpio; and this is what we discovered.
These are the most popular jobs offered ranked from most abundant to least:

- Positions such as sales associates, cashiers and retail assistants are widely available across various locations in Hawaiʻi.
- Food service positions
- Jobs including crew members at fast-food establishments, servers and bussers are in high demand. They offer flexible hours suitable for students.
- Youth program and camp staff
- Roles like camp counselors and youth leaders are offered by organizations such as the YMCA of Honolulu. These provide opportunities to work with children in summer programs.
- Internships and educational roles
- Intern positions in various fields, including administrative and educational support, are available for high school students seeking experience.
- Hospitality and tourism roles
- Seasonal positions such as park guides and retail associates at tourist attractions like Kualoa Ranch Hawai’i offer students a chance to work in the tourism industry.

- Barista: Prepare beverages and maintain the café environment.
- Lifeguard: Lots of fun in the sun with an opportunity to ground students in the world of responsibility and oversight.
- Pool Attendant: Several resorts and hotels are looking for part-time summer help to oversee their pool areas. It’s outdoors and active for those students who needs physical and outdoor experiences.
