HONOLULU (KHON2) — Baskin-Robbins celebrated the grand opening of its newest shop in Honolulu at the Ala Moana Center with a $20,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii.
The new Baskin-Robbins, located on Street Level 1 near the Center Court, opened at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8.
The event kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring Baskin-Robbins Brand Head Jonathan Biggs and Hawaii franchisee John Kim.
The first 500 guests were treated to branded merchandise bags starting at 10:30 a.m., and Baskin-Robbins mascot Coney was also on hand for photos.
As part of the celebration, the Baskin-Robbins Joy in Childhood Foundation presented a $20,000 grant to the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii (BGCH).
“We were proud to open this new location in the Ala Moana Center and support the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii in helping young people reach their potential,” said Kim. “We hope our shop becomes a place where families can come together to enjoy great ice cream and give back to the community.”
The new 634-square-foot shop is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
To celebrate the opening, the shop offered special promotions throughout the holiday season, including buy-one-get-one-free deals on scoops (Dec. 9-14), sundaes (Dec. 15-21), and $3 off ice cream cakes (Dec. 22-28).
