WAIPAHU, Hawaii (KHON2) — Honolulu police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Waipahu that left one in serious condition.
According to HPD, the call came in just before 7 p.m. when officers were responding to a family argument on Aniani Place.
Officials said officers “encountered and shot an armed male who was attacking another man.”
Paramedics arrived at the scene around 7:25 p.m. and treated an 18-year-old male for an apparent gunshot wound.
Another male, 23, was treated for an apparent assault.
Both were transported to an emergency room in serious condition.
Police investigators remained at the scene.
