On holiday: Here’s Honolulu’s Labor Day schedule

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Labor Day is tomorrow, Sept. 1. Here is Honolulu’s schedule for the holiday.

The City and County of Honolulu offices, all satellite city halls and driving licensing centers will be closed. The Neal S. Blaisdell Center box office will also be closed in observance of the holiday.

U.S. Postal Service facilities will be closed and there will be no regular mail deliveries, except for holiday premium Priority Mail Express. Visit the USPS website for access to most postal services.

Looking for something to do with family and friends? The Honolulu Zoo, parks, botanical gardens and municipal golf courses will be open.

As far as getting around town, TheBus will be operating on a Sunday schedule. You can visit TheBus website for route and schedule information. The Skyline will be operating from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the city holiday schedule. For more details, visit the Skyline website.

On-street parking will be free except on Kalākaua Avenue along Queen Kapi‘olani Park, metered parking lots, and meters on specific Waikīkī streets. For a list of the Waikīkī streets, visit the website.

Restricted parking will be in effect over the holiday weekend from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Lanikai.

Garbage will be collected as usual.
