Pacific Heights to get rockfall mitigation

HONOLULU (KHON2) — A portion of Pacific Heights Road may be contraflowed while construction crews work in the area.

The crews will install rock slide mitigation which will include: vegatation clearing, rock scaling and removal, anchor installations, and applying shotcrete.

If weather permits, the work is scheduled to start on Monday, Sept. 16., during which time a single lane contraflow may be implemented between Kaola Way and 2424 Pacific Heights Road.

The work hours will be Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., excluding holidays and the work is expected to last approximately four months.
