Peacock debuts ‘O’ahu Shores’, a look at local friendships

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Tonight, Oct. 12, Dave & Buster’s at Ala Moana rolled out the red carpet to celebrate the premiere of “O’ahu Shores.”

The show debuted on Peacock last Thursday, Oct. 9, giving viewers an inside look into island life as it follows a group of young locals.

“It follows us our friendship, this is a real friendship we’ve been friends for years, 10 for some of us or more. It follows our lifestyle, our struggles with romance, friendship and honestly just living our lives,” Kaui Goodness, “Oahu Shores” cast member, said.

The show stars Skye Baker, Alex Fowler, Kaui Goodness, Marcus Hee, Rachael
Peterson, Kamalani Pico, Keolu Ramos and Raven Wood.

Goodness said, “What makes this show different, I think, is the diversity of the cast. A lot of the time, we see people from Hawaii, but we don’t necessarily see native Hawaiians. And so for me, I’m proud that I’m a native Hawaiian and allowed this huge platform, the same for my friends.”

You can add this show to your binge-watch list and follow Kaui and her friends, since all the episodes are out now.

“I think to see the dynamic as friends that are islanders, that’s what makes this so different and also we all have such unique personalities,” Goodness said. “You have to watch the show to really see that it all comes out. But you have to watch the show; you cannot just watch the trailer.”
