HONOLULU (KHON2) — A police investigation has closed a section of Nawiliwili Road in Hawaii Kai on Sunday morning, officials said.
Honolulu police responded to a reported weapons case in the area around 9:30 p.m. The road is closed between Kalanianaʻole Highway and Waialeale Street.
Few details have been released, but police say the Honolulu Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services are also on scene.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes as the investigation continues.
