Reckless endangering charge in Saturdayʻs University shooting

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Charges have been filed in connection to a shooting in the University area on Saturday night.

HPD arrested a 36-year-old woman on suspicion of attempted murder on Sunday morning.

Police records allege that the woman shot at her ex-boyfriend then left the area just after 10 p.m. on Saturday.

HPD located the suspectʻs vehicle in Kapolei where she was identified and arrested.

The prosecutorʻs office charged Malia Kaʻalaneo Lajala with reckless endangering and two firearms offenses.
