Residents left high and dry from Punaluu water main break

HONOLULU (KHON2) – A water main break affected 110 homes in Punaluu.

The Board of Water Supply (BWS) crew is working on the 12” main break near 53-450 Kamehameha Hwy between Haleaha Rd and Punalu’u Valley Rd.

Officials said BWS crews have arranged a system bypass to supply water back to most homes. Only 17 homes are now affected by the break.

A water wagon will be located near 53-464 Kamehameha Hwy for customers affected by this break. Customers are asked to bring their own containers to fill.

Officials said to expect delays and avoid the area if possible.

The Kaneohe bound land will be blocked and traffic will be contra flowed during repairs.
