Sewer work to cause traffic delays in these areas

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Kailua, Kalihi-Palama, and Moiliili drivers who do not want to sit in traffic this week should keep these sewer work projects in mind.

The Department of Environmental Services warns drivers that city crews and contractors will be conducting work between either 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. or from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Sewer work will be conducted on the following dates and in the following areas:

Main Rehabilitation

May 20: 45 Aulike Street, Kailua & 2425 Coyne Street, Moiliili

May 21: 5 Kihapai Street, Kailua

May 22: 258 Kainehe Street, Kailua & 106 Puuhale Road, Kalihi-Palama

May 22-23: 80 Kihapai Street, Kailua

May 24: 2425 Coyne Street, Moiliili

Lateral Rehabilitation

May 20: 315/333 Uluniu Street, Kailua

May 20-24: 648 Walea Place, Liliha-Kapalama

May 21: 2425 Coyne Street, Moiliili

Manhole Rehabilitation

May 22-24: 2403-2439 Coyne Street, Moiliili

This week, there will be a major sewer work project along Waiakamilo Road between Dillingham Boulevard and Hart Street for road replacement.
