It was more than a year ago that Emma Palm and Will Warsila began planning for NextDoor, one of the main exhibits of this year’s Exposure Photography Festival. It was a timely idea a year ago and has only become more topical since then. Palm, who is the festival manager of Exposure, teamed with Warsila, an American photographer who runs an arts space in Livingston, Mont., called Strata Editions, to curate an exhibit that places the work of five Canadian and five American photographers side by side as they explore the physical and metaphorical Canada-U.S. border.
