Shooting at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam leaves one in critical condition

HONOLULU (KHON2) — A shooting at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam on the evening of Aug. 9 left one in critical condition, base officials said.

The shooting occurred in the housing area at the Wahiawa Annex at approximately 5:45 p.m., according to officials.

An unknown victim was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, with the alleged shooter in base security custody, JBPHH said.

The investigation will be conducted by base security forces, the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division.

There is no active threat to the Wahiawa Annex following the shooting.
