HONOLULU (KHON2) — Fairly typical trade wind weather is expected through this weekend with sunshine and windward showers. No heavy rain is expected through Sunday. Next week, moisture from the tropics and a weakening cold front could bring numerous showers to the islands from Tuesday through Friday.
Weekend Forecast:
- Winds will weaken and shift to east-southeasterly.
- Shower activity will decrease.
Midweek Outlook:
- A cold front will approach from the northwest.
- This could bring rain, thunderstorms, and possibly snow on Big Island summits.
- The exact timing, intensity, and coverage of these conditions are still uncertain.
Note: The forecast for Monday onwards is based on a blend of different models and has been adjusted to reflect the potential for winter weather on the Big Island.
