HONOLULU (KHON2) — A two-vehicle collision in the Ewa Beach area has hospitalized five patients, three of which are children, according to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services.
Officials said the crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11, on the H-1 Freeway near the Kunia-Ewa offramp.
The incident caused a temporary closure of three lanes of the offramp. The area reopened shortly before 10 a.m.
Honolulu EMS responded with multiple units and provided advanced life support at the scene.
All five patients were transported to area hospitals in serious condition.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
