Tua Tagovailoa exits TNF game with concussion

Facing a quick three-day turnaround, Saint Louis alumnus and Ewa Beach native Tua Tagovailoa exited Thursday night’s game against the Buffalo Bills with a concussion.

Down 31-10 in the third quarter, Tagovailoa took a hit to the head from Bills safety Damar Hamlin and stayed down for a prolonged period of time, exiting the field on his feet with the assistance of trainers.

Tagovailoa suffered multiple concussions during the 2022 season, playing in 13 total games. In 2023, he played in all 17 regular season games without injury, earning a historic contract extension worth $212.4 million.

After defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, the Dolphins trail the Bills 31-10 entering the fourth quarter with backup quarterback Skylar Thompson.
