HONOLULU, HI (KHON) — The holidays are getting a frosty twist in Honolulu this year.
The Hawaii Convention Center has announced “‘Twas the Light Before Christmas on Ice”, a brand-new immersive holiday experience featuring dazzling lights, festive attractions and an 8,000-square-foot indoor ice-skating rink.
The month-long event will run from Dec. 4, 2025, through Jan. 4, 2026, inside the center’s 56,000-square-foot exhibit hall space. It marks the first time an ice rink has returned to the venue since 2019.
Alongside the rink, guests will be able to explore a 10,000-square-foot multi-sensory immersive light display designed by Artechouse. Families can also enjoy a new keiki wonderland with bounce houses, soft play areas, a holiday movie theater and the Honolulu Cookie Company’s “Letters to Santa” station.
For adults, a holiday lounge will serve specialty cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages and signature seasonal treats. Shoppers can browse the American Savings Bank Holiday Marketplace, which will feature local vendors on select weekends, as well as limited-edition event merchandise.
Organizers say familiar favorites from last year will return as well, including the winding paths of the Fir Forest of Light, giant illuminated tunnels, large-scale holiday light displays and a Santa sleigh with appearances from Santa himself.
Tickets will go on sale at the end of the month, but early access to presales is available now at AlohaImmersive.com.
