Two victims of fireworks explosion identified by ME

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The medical examinerʻs office has released the identities of two women who were killed in the explosion in an Aliamanu neighborhood on New Yearʻs day.

Fifty-eight-year-old Nelie Ibarra and 23-year-old Jennifer Van were identified on Friday.

The cause and manner of their deaths are still pending.

The department also said that the identification of a third victim will be released at a later time.
