UH Football memorabilia finds new home at Stan Sheriff Center

HONOLULU (KHON2) — A new display of the University of Hawaiʻi sports and its history is now set up in the Stan Sheriff Center.

The UH Letterwinners Club built special cases to house all UH sports memorabilia, including items that used to be kept at the Aloha Stadium.

The project is almost finished, with football displays already in their place and ready for everyone to see.

The displays will be visible through the office windows starting Aug. 23. UH football head coach Timmy Chang and players even helped clean the windows before the unveiling.

The club says the project isn’t just about keeping old items safe. Instead, it’s about honoring UH athletics and remembering the athletes who helped build its historical foundation.

The project was made possible through private donations and support from The Letterwinners Club, which has worked for years to celebrate UH athletes past and present.

This grand historical opening is only the beginning for coach Timmy Chang and the UH Football program.
