The University of Hawai‘i football team was selected to finish seventh in the Mountain West Conference preseason media poll, released Wednesday at the start of the league’s two-day media days in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Rainbow Warriors enter their fourth season under head coach Timmy Chang, who holds a 13-25 record at his alma mater. After back-to-back five-win campaigns, Hawai‘i is seeking its first bowl appearance since 2021.
UH returns 14 starters, six on offense and seven on defense.
Boise State was tabbed as the league favorite, earning 35 of 39 first-place votes and 464 total points.
The Rainbow Warriors open fall camp on Wednesday, July 23, and will kick off the 2025 season with a nationally televised home game against Stanford on Saturday, Aug. 23 at the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex.
