HONOLULU (KHON2) — Looking for a new job? The U.S. Postal Service can help.
USPS announced that they are searching to fill nearly 80 temporary holiday positions in post offices around Hawaii.
There are openings for clerk assistants, whose duties include sorting and distributing mail and packages within a post office, and carrier assistants, whose duties include delivering and collecting mail and packages.
If hired, employees will work from Nov. 15 to Dec. 26.
On O’ahu, they are hiring for positions at Post Offices in Honolulu, Ewa Beach, Kailua, Kaneohe, Pearl City, Wahiawa, and Waipahu, as well as on Kauai, Maui, and the Hawaii Island.
The Postal Service sayid this is a good way to serve your community as well as test the waters to see if this could be a possible career.
“There’s always the opportunity that after this is done, if a person decides they want to continue on with the Postal Service, they can go and search for job positions and see what’s available in their area and go ahead and apply that way,” said John Hyatt, USPS Corporate Communications.
