HONOLULU (KHON2) — Ward Village opened a brand new public park, bringing almost 26,000 square feet of green space to the concrete jungle of urban Honolulu.
Ka Laʻi o Kukuluāeʻo Park is complete with pedestrian pathways, park seating, a playground, a Biki Bike station and water refill station. The park also features native plants and trees for shade.
“Ka Laʻi Park will play a meaningful role in the day-to-day life of our community,” said Doug Johnstone, president of the Hawaiʻi region and National Condominium Development for Howard Hughes. “…These milestones advance our commitment to cultivating an integrated, connected neighborhood.”
The park is located near Ward Village’s next residence, Ulana Ward Village, and is surrounded by Pohukaina and Kamani Streets.
Ka Laʻi o Kukuluāeʻo Park construction began in February and reached completion in July.
