WAIPIO, Hawaii (KHON2) — Residents in the Waipio community are urged to conserve water until further notice.
On Saturday, Jan. 4 around 8 p.m., the Honolulu Board of Water Supply issued a conservation notice after an issue with a valve left the reservoir serving the community empty.
BWS officials are working to refill the reservoir.
Customers are advised to use water for essential needs only.
