HONOLULU (KHON2) — This is Weekend Roundup, your go-to destination for weekend planning the islands. For this weekend, we have everything from spooky events, live orchestras and more.

Here’s everything you need to have a fantastic weekend:

October 25

Oʻahu

The Manoa Marketplace will be hosting a free fall festival for family fun time.

The festival begins at 11 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m. There will be live entertainment, keiki activities and free treats.

There will also be a clown there, sure to provide a humorous experience for everyone.

For more spooky family fun, the Shriners Children’s hospital will be hosting their annual Trunk or Treat from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at their Punahou Street campus.

Keiki are invited to come in their Halloween costumes and get some sweet treats from the array of custom Mustang and Volkswagen vehicles on location.

At the iconic Aloha Stadium, there will be the Aloha to Aloha Stadium concert.

Before the stadium’s demolition, come bid aloha to the venue that has been a local staple for so long.

Tickets are on sale online and the lineup features iconic acts such as Ekolu. The show begins at 4 p.m., with VIP packages available for purchase. General admission tickets start at $5.

Hawaiʻi Island

In Hilo, there will be the Hilo Barrio Fiesta, celebrating Filipino history in Hawaiʻi.

The free event will be held at University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo’s Campus Center Plaza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will be Filipino food trucks, cultural dances and activities, games and a balut eating contest.

Kauaʻi

In Līhuʻe there will be the annual Rice Street Block Party from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The block party will have a keiki zone, local vendors and stages for live performances.

For keiki there will be plenty of games and other fun activities, and for adults there are two different beer gardens for some smooth sipping at the block party.

October 26

Oʻahu

At the Honolulu Zoo, there will be the spooky “Hallowzoo” event for the whole ʻohana to enjoy.

The Halloween event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the experience included with regular zoo admission.

Keiki are encouraged to be wearing their spooky costumes and participate in the Halloween-themed activities, such as a scare-venger hunt.

Carrying on the Halloween spirit, trick-or-treaters can stop by select Skyline stations for sweets beginning at 11 a.m. and running until 1 p.m.

Ride Skyline between stations to maximize your candy profit, and be sure to be in costume.

Stations participating will have candy, treats, live DJs and a free mini pumpkin for HOLO card holders.

  • Pouhala Waipahu Transit Center
  • Hālawa Aloha Stadium
  • Kahauiki Kalihi Transit Center

At the Blaisdell, the Hawaiʻi Symphony Orchestra is inviting fans of the “Harry Potter” series to watch “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” with live orchestral accompaniment.

The show begins at 4 p.m. and has tickets for sale online.

Hawaiʻi Island

At the Palace Theater in Hilo, celebrate their 100 year anniversary with a showing of the 1925 film “The Phantom of the Opera.” The silent film will be accompanied by a live score, performed on the Mighty Palace Pipe Organ.

Doors open at 2 p.m. and costs $15 at the door.

Maui

Toyota Hawaiʻi is sponsoring free admission to the Kula Country Farm’s pumpkin patch for kamaʻāina.

The first 3,000 attendees to the pumpkin patch will be able to enter for free as part of a Kamaʻāina Sunday event.

There will be local vendors, food, a pumpkin carving contest, costume contest and more.

The pumpkin patch will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
