Why you should avoid Ala Moana Blvd. Tuesday, Wednesday night

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Hawaii Department of Transportation will conduct a full closure of Ala Moana Blvd on Tuesday and Wednesday to continue work on the Ala Moana Pedestrian Bridge.

Crews will shut down Ala Moana Blvd in both directions from Ward Ave to Kamakee St from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. to safely pour concrete on the deck.


Waianae murder investigation underway

Those driving on Ala Moana Blvd will be detoured to Auahi Street. HDOT said the sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians and bicyclists.

As a reminder, HDOT asks all drivers to drive with caution and watch for traffic control signs.

The DOT said all work is weather permitting.
