HONOLULU (KHON2) — A woman is in critical condition following a critical vehicle crash on the H-3 Freeway.
According to Honolulu Police Department, on June 7 around 2 p.m., a 71-year-old female was driving westbound on the H-3 Freeway in the Harano Tunnel when she rear-ended a 49-year-old male driver operating a large dump truck, which was also traveling westbound.
As a result of the crash, the female was pinned in the vehicle and had to be extricated.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene, and the woman was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
The male driver remained at the scene and neither he or his 59-year-old female passenger were injured.
This investigation is ongoing.
