HONOLULU (KHON2) — On March 26, 46-year-old Gerhardt Konig was charged with attempted murder after allegedly attacking his wife on the Pali Puka hiking trail on March 24.
The 36-year-old victim was critically injured and transported to the hospital.
Konig fled the scene but was arrested later that evening following a foot pursuit near Nuuanu Pali Drive.
His bail is set at $5,000,000.
