The “Police Chief Desirable Traits” survey is part of the Commission’s effort to gather public input on the qualities and characteristics the next chief should possess. Officials say feedback from community members will help guide the selection process.

“The Commission believes every member of the community is a stakeholder in the selection of the next Police Chief,” the announcement stated.

Residents can complete the survey online. Those in need of accommodations including translation services or disability assistance are encouraged to contact Anelalani Davis at (808) 241-4917 or by email at adavis@kauai.gov as early as possible.
