Christmas came early with annual craft fair in Pearl City

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Christmas came early this year with a craft fair hosted in Pearl City, giving shoppers a head start on their holiday lists.

The 808 Craft and Gift Fairs took over the Pearl City Shopping Center for the annual “Christmas in July” event.

Shoppers browsed dozens of local vendors offering handmade crafts, gifts and food.

“So we have people coming today to say what new items we have on sale,” said Joseph Rondon of JJ Art Boutique. “So that’s pretty awesome because we’re creating those regular customers.”

The event this year included over 35 different vendors.

“We want to help all the small businesses, but we love watching them grow from not knowing anything to setting up and having a professional set up just like that,” said Lauren Mori, event organizer.
