HONOLULU (KHON2) — Keiki have a chance to play on the new Les Murakami stadium turf while learning from the best at the University of Hawaii baseball summer camp.
“We’ll take them through pretty much anything that we do here at the University of Hawaii during our practice: base running, in-field drills, out-field drills, pitching,” said Casey Isa, UH director of baseball operations.
Coaches include UH alumni Tai Atkins and Trevor Ichimura, Brigham Young University pitcher Blade Paragas and Branden Chung-Ming from Hope International.
“We got some coaches that are local but they’re playing baseball on the mainland so they’re happy to come and give back to the baseball community,” Isa said.
The camp is open to any and all students in kindergarten to 8th grade.
