A community event this weekend is benefiting expecting mothers

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Providing equitable access to maternity and childcare needs is the goal of the Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies coalition. With that, “It Takes Ohana” community baby shower is this weekend which aims to help provide for mothers in need.

Manager of Community Outreach, Princess Lei Ebbay, of Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies, and Dr. Camonia Graham-Tutt, of Hawaii Mocha Moms, joined Wake Up 2Day with details.


The search is on for the 75th Narcissus Queen and court

Princess shared, “We are a local nonprofit agency that is part of a network of organizations and individuals committed to improving Hawaii’s maternal, child, and family health through collaborative efforts in programs, public education, advocacy, and partner development. Before, during, and after pregnancy, we are here every step of the way.”

To be involved in the upcoming event or to donate, the next baby shower is July 28 at the Kapolei Kroc Center starting at 1 p.m.
