HONOLULU (KHON2)– Online deals during the summer are great, or are they? The Better Business Bureau advises doing your homework and exercising patience before jumping on what appears to be a good discount.
The Federal Trade Commission recorded over 340,000 online shopping scam complaints in 2023, and those losses topped over $430 million.
Look out for fake ads and social media ads during popular sales times like the 4th of July and Amazon Prime Day shows.

While there, look up sellers for ratings, reviews and complaint history so you know who you’re buying from.
