‘Bows fall in 3 straight sets to CSUN on Friday

The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors ranked 5th in the country, traveled to California to take on 9th-ranked CSUN on Friday.

Hawaii held a 10-8 lead in the 1st set, but quickly trailed 13-10. CSUN making it difficult for the ‘Bows as UH only had 7 kills in the 1st set and 6 attacking errors. Hawaii dropped the first frame 25-17. ‘Bows with a hitting % of .045

In the 2nd set, Hawaii with 8 attacking errors to make it 14 in the 1st two sets. UH falls 25-20 in the 2nd after a hitting % of .214.

Hawaii needing to win the 3rd to avoid a sweep, but the Matadors midway through the set were able to take another lead. Hawaii trailed 22-20, but CSUN was able to put the match away winning 25-20.

For the 1st time this season, Hawaii falls in 3 straight sets. Kristian Titriyski led the way with 14 kills for UH, Adrien Roure was the 2nd highest with only 5 kills.

Hawaii will have a chance for a match win against CSUN on Saturday at 3:00pm HT.
