Emergency repairs to wall at Sharks Cove to begin in late July

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Emergency repairs to the retaining wall near Sharks Cove at Pupukea Beach Park are set to start on Monday, July 29.

The North Shore site has been found to be compromised, showing signs of deterioration requiring urgent repairs to ensure public safety.

While the ocean access will remain available during the project, the parking lot will be closed.

Restrooms and showers will remain operational.

According to Department of Design and Construction, the repairs are expected to be completed within three months.
