Get up close with sharks, dolphins, more at Sea Life Park Hawaii

WAIMANALO, Hawaii (KHON2) — Families and their keiki can dive into new immersive education learning programs at Sea Life Park Hawaii.

The park released a full list of close encounter experiences offered in 2025 which includes the newest “Shark Snorkel” and “Dolphin Exploration” experiences.

Groups will be led by the park’s animal care experts to participate in unique opportunities with bottlenose dolphins, reef sharks and sea lions.

“We look forward to welcoming guests into our family-friendly encounters. Whether experiencing these up-close encounters while on land or through our swim experiences, the whole ʻohana can experience immersive learning on another level,” said Curator Amber Ramos.

Interact with Dolphins

Get up close and personal with bottlenose dolphins in a deep-water swim within the Dolphin Lagoon in the “Dolphin Exploration” encounter. This experience is open to ages eight and up, where guests can participate in a deep water tow and enrichment session for $279.99 per guest.

If deep-water swimming isn’t your thing, check out the “Dolphin Encounter” experience. Everyone ages four and up can learn about daily care and the natural behavior of dolphins in a shallow water environment for $199.99 per guest.

Prefer to say dry? Look into the “Dolphin Aloha” encounter, where guests of all ages can learn about the behaviors and individual personalities of each dolphin on land for $99.99 per person.

Swim with Sharks

Create a core memory with Sea Life Park Hawaii’s whitetip reef sharks in the new “Shark Snorkel” encounter. Guests four and up can snorkel with these sharks and Hawaiian reef fish in a shallow water interaction.

An experienced member of the animal care team will join you on your adventure. The experience is $98.99 per person.

Interact with California Sea Lions

The “Sea Lion Encounter” close-up experience is perfect for everyone ages eight and older. The dry land encounter allows guests to interact with sea lions and learn about the park’s efforts to rescue and rehabilitate marine mammals. The experience is $98.99 per person.
