The Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association (HHSAA) has postponed all Division-I & Division-II state tournament quarterfinal matches scheduled for this afternoon due to the storm that has brought heavy rain and winds throughout the day.
Reports of power outages and facility closures at multiple match sites contributed to the decision.
“The safety of all participants, coaches, and supporters is our top priority,” HHSAA spokesperson Natalie Iwamoto said. “This decision was made with that in mind, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding as we navigate this fluid situation.”
The HHSAA is actively working on rescheduling the affected matches.
