MANOA, Hawaii (KHON2) — Pack your grills, tents and lawnchairs! The University of Hawaii announced it will resume tailgating for the upcoming 2025 football season.
Tailgating will be available for all seven home games, not on lower campus or in the parking garage, but on upper campus in Zone 13 parking lots from Kennedy Theatre to Campus Center.
Tickets run for $250 a piece, and UH Athletics said H-Club members will get the first dibs starting in April.
Fans without H-Club memberships can purchase remaining tickets, if any, starting in mid-summer.
Each tailgating pass is good for one vehicle per spot. No oversized vehicles or trailers will be allowed in the tailgating area.
The area will open at least four hours prior, and tailgaters must leave the area 30 minutes before the game. Overnight parking is not allowed.
Once in the tailgating area, tailgaters can set up their grills to cook up their ono grindz.
UH said gas grills with a tank ranging from five to 25 pounds are allowed. Grills that require charcoal, wood or deep fryers are prohibited.
Alcoholic beverages are prohibited from being consumed in the tailgating area. A deep dive on UH’s tailgating policies can be found on their website.
