Hawaii football opens spring training camp

Just nine weeks after closing out the 2024 season on Senior Night, the University of Hawai’i football team is back to work. The Rainbow Warriors kicked off their 2025 spring training camp on Monday, signaling the start of preparations for the upcoming season.

Head coach Timmy Chang enters his fourth season at the helm of his alma mater following a busy offseason. The coaching staff saw key promotions, with Anthony Arceneaux elevated to offensive coordinator and Cade Socha stepping into the role of quarterbacks coach. The team also welcomed several instant-impact players from the transfer portal, adding depth and talent to the roster.

Leadership has been a focal point during player-led practices and offseason workouts, with veterans stepping up to guide the team through early preparations centered around players like quarterback Micah Alejado, wide receiver Pofele Ashlock, linebacker Jamih Otis, nickelnback Elijah Palmer, and cornerback Virdel Edwards.

Spring camp sessions are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays over the next five weeks, culminating in the annual spring game set for March 8.
