HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu Fire Department responded to a 911 call reporting an ambulance that was ablaze in Wailupe shortly before 11 a.m. on May 17.
Emergency Medical Services said that all of their personnel were able to safely self-evacuate from the ambulance.
HFD arrived on scene within 10 minutes and were able to fully extinguish the fire within 30 minutes.
An investigation has been opened to determine the origin of the fire and the amount of damages sustained to the vehicle.
