HPD confirms identity of body found in Waipiʻo

WAIPIʻO (KHON2) — HPD has confirmed the identity of the body discovered on Nov. 7 in Waipiʻo.

This morning, Nov. 9, the Medical Examiner’s Office notified HPD that the body was positively identified as missing person, 55-year-old Jonnaven Monalim.

Monalim was reported missing on Nov. 5 by concerned loved ones.

The Medical Examiner is still evaluating the cause and manner of the death.

Homicide detectives are still actively investigating this case.
