Kauaʻi to have hiring fair, priority for veterans

KAUAI, Hawaii (KHON2) — The Hawaiʻi State Department of Labor and Industrial Relations will host a hiring fair on April 23 at the Kauaʻi War Memorial Conventional Hall, located at 4191 Hardy St.

The DLIR hopes to connect job seekers with local employers and career support services.

“The hiring fair is part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen Hawaiʻi’s workforce by supporting both job seekers and employers,” said DLIR Director Jade T. Butay. “We are especially proud to offer early access to veterans and military families as a way to honor their service and help them connect with meaningful employment opportunities.”

The event will begin at 1 p.m. for veterans’ early access, as well as active-duty military members and their families. At 1:30 p.m., the event will be open to all other job seekers.
