HONOLULU (KHON2) — Tomorrow is Veterans Day in Hawaii, and it’s time to check out the deals being offered around the islands.

We did a bit of digging the best ways to maximize your offerings for this special day. Here’s what we found.

Hawaiian Bros Island Grill

Veterans and active-duty personnel can enjoy a complimentary classic plate lunch at participating Hawaiʻi locations on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

Yard House Waikīkī (Oʻahu)

Veterans and active-duty military get a free appetizer on Nov. 11.

Denny’s

This is available in Kona, Honolulu, Waipahu and other islands. Veterans and active-duty military receive a free Original Grand Slam from 5 a.m. to noon on Nov. 11.

Starbucks

Veterans, active-duty military and their spouses can get one free tall (12 oz) hot or iced brewed coffee on Nov. 11 at participating U.S. stores. Participation in Hawaiʻi likely.

Macy’s

Running a Veterans Day Sale from Nov. 7 to Nov. 11 with up to 60% off furniture, mattresses and rugs. The sale is general and not exclusively for veterans. Confirm if Hawaiʻi stores have the same deal.

Tips to make the most of the offers

  • Bring valid military ID, DD-214 or other proof of service.
  • Confirm each store’s participation in Hawaiʻi; some chain locations may not opt in.
  • Check whether the deal is dine-in only, carry-out, or app/app specific.
  • Some offers may apply only to Nov. 11, while others span Nov. 7-10 or vary by location.
